brackish (brksh) adjective
- Having a somewhat salty taste, especially from containing a mixture of seawater and fresh water: “You could cut the brackish winds with a knife/Here in Nantucket” (Robert Lowell).
- Distasteful; unpalatable: a thin, brackish gruel.
